Chingford E4 Area Guide
Welcome to chingford
As a trusted Chingford Estate Agent, we know just how special this North East London suburb is. Located in the borough of Waltham Forest and just over 9 miles from central London, Chingford borders the stunning Epping Forest and offers fast train connections to the City. Its unique position near Walthamstow and West Essex adds to its wide appeal.
It has a rich and ancient history with a reference in the Domesday book as “Cingefort” from 1066AD. Its Royal Links include Queen Elizabeths Hunting Lodge which dates back to the 1600’s and Epping Forest itself which was gifted to the people by Queen Victoria in 1878 under the Epping Forest Act.
Its beautiful green spaces and a strong sense of community make it a popular choice for all ages. With a selection of Victorian and Edwardian Period properties, classic 1930’s semis or new apartments the area appeals both to first time buyers, families or to those downsizing.
